Benefits of Pediatric Physical Therapy
Pediatric physical therapy offers numerous benefits for children facing developmental challenges or physical impairments. Some key advantages include:
Motor Skills Development: Physical therapy helps children develop and refine their motor skills, including crawling, walking, and coordination, promoting overall physical development.
Improved Strength and Endurance: Through targeted exercises, pediatric physical therapy enhances muscle strength and endurance, supporting a child's ability to engage in various physical activities.
Balance and Coordination: Therapy interventions focus on improving balance and coordination, essential for activities like playing sports and navigating daily tasks.
Pain Management: For children with chronic conditions or injuries, physical therapy helps manage pain through specialized exercises and techniques.
Enhanced Independence: Physical therapy promotes independence by addressing mobility challenges, enabling children to participate more fully in daily routines.
Joint Range of Motion: Therapists work to maintain or improve joint range of motion, addressing issues related to flexibility and preventing stiffness.
Early Intervention: Pediatric physical therapy can identify and address potential issues early, preventing the development of more significant problems as the child grows.
Assistive Device Training: For children who require assistive devices, physical therapy teaches proper use and ensures optimal functionality.
Improved Posture: Therapy interventions help correct and maintain proper posture, reducing the risk of musculoskeletal issues.
Enhanced Confidence and Self-Esteem: Achieving physical milestones and overcoming challenges with the support of physical therapy can boost a child's confidence and self-esteem.
In summary, pediatric physical therapy plays a crucial role in promoting physical development, addressing challenges, and improving the overall quality of life for children with various conditions or developmental delays.

“Not only do you get Professional care, but the staff make you feel like family”
I had total knee replacement. The care and attention I receive from physical therapists Anthony and assistant Christian was excellent. They pushed me to get to where I had to be in a very caring way. The staff was excellent starting with Lynn, Tess, Amanda and Phill. The facility is COVID compliant and very clean with all the latest equipment. My two son have been to Profysio in the past with sport injuries and they got them back on the basketball court and football field sooner than expected. As a retired Deputy Chief of the Fire Department I totally recommend Profysio- Gregory Meyer -
